July 2, 2021 Reopening Announcement
The Westgate Cabana Club is excited to announce that the pool will completely reopen on Friday, July 2nd! Capacity limits and most restrictions have been lifted.
Reservations for recreation swim will no longer be required. Members can visit the pool at any time during open recreational hours. For the time-being, only lap swim will require advance sign up.
Touchless Check-in: When you arrive at the pool, you can show the digital ID on your phone to be scanned. Please be sure to download the digital ID App and set up digital ID on your phone prior to arriving at the pool. See instructions here. If you used digital ID last year, we can simply reactivate your account; please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Face Coverings: In alignment with the CDC, and the California Department of Public Health, vaccinated individuals will no longer be required to wear masks while entering or leaving the facility, on the pool deck, or in restrooms. Unvaccinated children and adults are not required to wear masks while in the pool or on the pool deck, however they are required to wear masks while in indoor spaces such as in restrooms or inside the office (while performing gatewatch duties). Safety Note: Do Not wear face coverings in the pool or shower as they can be a suffocation hazard when wet. Our staff will be held to these same requirements.
Stay Home if you have Symptoms: Please do not enter the facility if you have a fever or symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, loss of smell, or feel unwell.
Hygiene & Safety: Hand sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the facility. Touchless hand soap dispensers and faucets have been installed in the restrooms.
Water Safety: As per standard pool maintenance guidelines and California pool code, pool water will be checked hourly by staff for ph and chlorine levels.
BY VISITING THE POOL, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COVID-19
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the CDC, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.You must follow all posted instructions throughout the facility.
If you are exhibiting any COVID-19-related symptoms, you should not enter or remain in the pool.
