Lifeguards are needed during the active pool season April to October 

Swim Instructors are needed June to August 

• Most staff work as both a lifeguard and swim instructor
• No prior experience is necessary to apply 
• If hired, you will receive on the job training
• Lifeguard certification classes may be available on site depending on when you apply 
• Please review job descriptions before applying for a position 

Physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• Must be able to swim at least 300 yards and tread water for 2 minutes
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or more.
• The pool can be a noisy and dynamic environment.
• Frequently exposed to natural weather conditions that may vary from extreme sun to cold, wet, rainy and windy conditions.
• During your work shift, you will be expected to stand and walk for long periods of time as you actively surveille the pool and swimmers

• Current and valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification by April 2nd. See Find My Certificate to locate your Red Cross certification. 
• Valid work permit (if under 18 years of age)
